EXTRA Team Tryouts

            EXTRA Player Fee includes soccer player registration, referee fees, field fees, and EXTRA uniforms for home and away games.  

Area    Weber, Davis, Box Elder Counties, Utah

            EXTRA teams are travel teams. Players and families may be required to travel 1-2 times per week for games. Games will be scheduled primarily during the week, and late Saturday afternoons.

Ages     10U, 12U, 14U, 17U COED

            Each age division may have 1 boys and 1 girls EXTRA team with the exception of 17U which is a COED division. Not all players will make a team.

Qualification

Player

1. Meet the AYSO, 10U, 12U, 14U, 17U age requirements.
2. Complete Registration forms for AYSO Region 287.
3. Parent and player must sign AYSO Region 287 – EXTRA commitment pledge.
4. Encouraged to play on a CORE team but not required. Seasons for EXTRA Play  & CORE run concurrent.

Coach

1. Completed AYSO online training for age-specific coaching one level above to coach
2. Current Volunteer form
3. Safe Haven Certificate (online course offered on AYSOU)
4. CDC Concussion Training (online course offered on AYSOU)
5. EXTRA Coaching Application for Area and Region (2018 EXTRA Play Coach Application.pdf)
6. Region 287 EXTRA Coaching Certificate

What to expect? This is a soccer tryout for the age bracket and team to represent AYSO Soccer Club Region 287. Players, Coaches, Families and Volunteers are ambassadors of our community and regional soccer program.

A full roster and two alternates will be selected for each level. Alternates will practice with the team. Limited players will make the team.

Coaches and AYSO 287 selection representatives will be on the field asking questions and evaluating each player. Very few selected tryout players will make a team.

Players may need to play alongside 10U–17U boys and girls during tryouts.

Come prepared to play soccer! You will be evaluated on having a soccer ball, water bottle, and the correct safety gear (soccer cleats/shinguards). No jewelry to be worn!
